Show Hidden Files and Folders in Windows 7

System files are always hidden by default reason for doing this is to prevent the changes and modifications since changes in system file can cause system to behave improperly. Also many of the user hide their important document so no one can edit those files. But you can get access to those files by changing single property. There are various ways to show hidden files and folders some of those are

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Method 1

1Go to Windows explorer by pressing windows+E or go to any folder.

2Now open the Organize menu on top left and click on Folders and search options. View step

3Now Switch to View tab in Folder Options box.

4Select the option"Show hidden files,folders and drives" in Advanced setting and click OK. Chances will take effect immediately. View step

Method 2

1Go to Start > Control panel. View step

2In Control Panel select Appearance and Personalization. View step

3Now click on the Folder Options. View step

4Select View tab in Folder Options box.

5Click on the "Show hidden files,folders and drives" and press OK. View step

Method 3

1Go to any Folder or Windows Explorer now press F10 on keyboard, Menubar will appear. View step

2Open Tools menu in that click on Folder Options.... View step

3Select View tab in Folder Options box.

4Click on the "Show hidden files,folders and drives" and click on OK. View step

Above methods will show Hidden files.

Still with this you can't able to access the System files, To make system files also visible remove check mark from the option "hide the operating system files". View step
